Playa Grande · Costa Rica

Skies & Sand

The sky over Playa Grande changes by the hour. On wet sand, you see it twice.

Low tide

Mirror days

At low tide a thin film of water covers the sand, and the sky lands at your feet. Cloudy days make the best mirrors.

When to go

Walk out around low tide, ideally late afternoon. Find the thinnest sheet of water and get your camera low.
